GRID Bot Features

Engineered for relentless sideways profit extraction

Quentrade GRID Bot surrounds the current price with a net of buy and sell limit orders, turning unpredictable volatility into a steady stream of passive income.

Arithmetic & Geometric Grids

Choose between equal price steps (Arithmetic) or equal percentage gaps (Geometric) depending on the asset's volatility.

Trailing Up/Down

Let the grid follow the trend. If the price breaks out of the range, the bot can shift the entire grid upward or downward.

Profit per Grid

Clearly visualize the exact percentage profit you will make every time a single buy-sell grid cycle completes.

Long, Short, or Neutral

Deploy Neutral grids for flat markets, Long grids for bullish trends with pullbacks, or Short grids for downward channels.

Stop Loss Triggers

Protect your capital if the market dumps out of the grid range by configuring automated stop-loss market orders.

AI Range Optimization

Unsure what range to pick? Let Quentrade AI analyze the past 7 days of volatility to suggest optimal grid parameters.

1

Select a Pair

Choose a crypto pair that is currently ranging or trading in a horizontal channel.

2

Set Price Limits

Define the lowest price you want to buy and the highest price you want to sell.

3

Choose Grid Count

Decide how many grid levels to create. More grids mean higher frequency trades with smaller profits per trade.

4

Deploy & Profit

The bot places all limit orders instantly on the exchange. It buys low and sells high automatically as long as the price stays in range.

How it works

Catch every swing in the market

The bot places multiple buy orders below the current price and sell orders above it. As the market moves, it continuously buys low and sells high, securing grid profits.

Trading Stablecoin Pairs

Run grids on tightly pegged pairs like USDC/USDT or EUR/USDT to farm micro-profits with extremely low risk.

Consolidation Periods

When Bitcoin goes sideways for weeks, a GRID bot generates constant daily profits while manual traders are bored.

High Volatility Altcoins

Deploy wide geometric grids on volatile new altcoins to catch massive intraday swings continuously.

Bear Market Accumulation

Use a wide Long Grid during a bear market to slowly accumulate assets while taking small profits on every dead-cat bounce.

FAQ

GRID Bot questions

What is a GRID Trading Bot?

A GRID bot automates trading by placing multiple buy and sell limit orders at set price intervals within a defined range. It continuously buys when the price drops to a grid line and sells when it rises to the next line.

When should I use a GRID bot vs DCA bot?

GRID bots are best for "sideways" markets where the price bounces up and down within a range without a clear long-term direction. DCA bots are better for investing in assets that you believe will eventually go up, allowing you to lower your average entry price if it dips first.

What happens if the price leaves the grid range?

If the price drops below your lowest grid line, the bot will be holding the asset waiting for it to rise back into the range (or hit your Stop Loss). If the price rises above the highest line, the bot will have sold everything for profit and will pause until the price falls back in, unless you enable the "Trailing" feature.

Is it better to have many grids or fewer grids?

More grids (e.g. 100) mean the bot will trade very frequently but make a tiny profit per trade. Fewer grids (e.g. 10) mean the bot trades less often, but makes a larger profit percentage per trade. The optimal amount depends on the asset's volatility.
